Johnathon is a civil litigator and the newest member of the firm. His growing practice focuses on defending clients across a wide range of complex civil litigation matters, including personal injury and wrongful death, premises liability, product liability, construction defect, insurance coverage and defense, and warranty and consumer claims.

Education

Johnathon graduated, with honors, from Lewis & Clark Law School, where he was the managing editor of Environmental Law Review. While there, he also worked as an extern for the Honorable Michael H. Simon in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. Prior to law school, he studied history and philosophy at the University of Indianapolis, where he won the Bennet-Tinsley Award for Undergraduate History Research and Writing in 2019.

Johnathon is active in the legal community, and is member of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, the Oregon Young Lawyers Division, the Defense Research Institute, and the Multnomah Bar Association, where he is a member of the Young Lawyers Section and currently serves on the Pro Bono Committee.

Since joining the Oregon State Bar in 2022, he has been selected as a “Rising Star” in Oregon by Super Lawyers during each year of his practice, having earned that distinction—which recognizes the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 years old in each state, as chosen by their peers—in 2024 and 2025.
