The firm’s attorneys have also successfully handled a wide variety of commercial litigation claims, including claims for breach of contract, partnership or joint venture disputes, real property disputes, intellectual property disputes, civil RICO claims, bankruptcy litigation, class actions, requests for injunctive relief, and fraud and misrepresentation, among other matters. Although our firm’s practice focuses on defense, our attorneys also represent plaintiffs in the context of commercial litigation. Our commercial litigation clients include national corporations and associations, as well as local businesses, institutions, and individuals throughout Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.
Nationally & Locally Partnered
Our attorneys are retained by national banks and other financial institutions to defend lawsuits for alleged wrongful foreclosure, and alleged violations of consumer protection laws such as the federal Truth and Lending Act, including Regulation Z, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Unlawful Debt Collection Practices Act, and state and federal RICO statutes. Two of the firm’s founding partners, Michael Farrell and Stephen Yoshida, have served as primary Oregon counsel for two of the nation’s largest banks.
